As you say because there are effectively no longer mobs when levelling that need groups I optimistically just went for him and expected a long but winnable battle. But it wasn't to be! He gave me a thrashing! Did not find a willing PUG like yourself & just gave up on it. But I agree about the warm feeling you get when you work with a stranger(s) online in a group to achieve something and it goes well, everyone is cooperative, helpful etc. It really does make you feel connected in quite a profound way- it makes you realise again that no man is an island & all that :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4659326122793396570.post-74275989693687693802011-08-19T07:32:33.342+01:002011-08-19T07:32:33.342+01:00To be honest, back in vanilla/TBC, I found it to b...To be honest, back in vanilla/TBC, I found it to be the norm. Grouping with anyone that had the same goals as you and so on. Whether that goal be questing, PVP, or just travelling around together.

Not sure how it changed over time,

- JaminJaminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01933819665446187419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4659326122793396570.post-7259122631356892352011-08-18T11:25:30.441+01:002011-08-18T11:25:30.441+01:00Hahaha, I actually remember that Yeti, he kicked m...Hahaha, I actually remember that Yeti, he kicked my ass too! And you know, I actually think the bad rep of pugs is one of the most lamentable things for MMOs. There was a time when I grouped up with random questers on the way and had a fabulous time - this is what MMOs are all about, are they not?
Yet, hitting max level latest, you enter that world of pug-disasters and having been a healer, I simply had enough of random 5mans very fast in vanilla, they were that frustrating in places. later with the LFG tool it only got worse. so, while the awesome pug will always live on as an ideal in my mind, reality tends to ruin a lot of that for many players. I wonder how much developers can really steer here.Sylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04473554645340972749noreply@blogger.com
